Section 01

Before you land

A little preparation at home saves a lot of stress later.

1. Keep your documents together

Carry your passport, visa grant, offer letter and health cover details in your hand luggage, with copies saved to your phone.

2. Arrange your first nights

Book temporary accommodation close to campus so you can view longer-term places in person.

Most students say the first month is the hardest. A simple checklist makes it far easier.

Section 02

Your first two weeks

  • Open a local bank account and get a local phone number.
  • Attend orientation: it is where you meet classmates and learn how the university works.
  • Register with a doctor near where you live.
  • Learn the public transport routes to campus.

If anything feels overwhelming, the university's international student office is there to help, and so is your One Career Global counsellor.
