Since July 2025 the Skilled Worker visa is for degree-level jobs. Trades only qualify through the Temporary Shortage List until the end of 2026, without family. Engineers, IT professionals and nurses have clearer routes.

A work visa for degree-level jobs with a licensed UK sponsor. Since July 2025, most trade roles only qualify if they are on the Temporary Shortage List.

Trades at RQF 3–5 can only be sponsored if listed on the Temporary Shortage List, which is due to end on 31 December 2026, and workers on it cannot bring family. We will tell you honestly if the UK is realistic for your trade.

Health and Care Worker visa

For qualified health professionals, such as registered nurses, with a job in the NHS or an approved care provider. Care workers can no longer be recruited from overseas.
